No thanks. I'll stick with a Democrat. As far as the Republicans go, though, he isn't really crazy enough, is he? Rick Santorum and Sarah Palin offer better entertainment value.

The Chuck Hagel ship sailed off last year, when he could have conceivably ran as an Independent or even on the Libertarian ticket (or, gone the Ron Paul route and performed the impossible task of running as an anti-war Republican). As it stands now, Iraq is no longer a hot-button issue, and more Nebraska Dems approve of his job performance than NE Republicans.

He is a good-for-nothing political opportunist with nothing to offer! Not that that's unusual in Washington DC, but still!

Sorry MacW, Any one who opposes any war for any reason will never be allowed to become president by our modern press

    Care to expand on that?

He saw the Republican party going down on the Iraq War (which, considering how poorly Bush was explaining it should surprise no one; people don't generally like wars for no good explained reason) and then began siding with democrats on everything. Instead of writing his own policy proposals as a Antiwar type person coming from that different of an angle would certainly have, and like Ron Paul did, who is a much more worthy man, he just kept on yelling at people until everyone stopped listening to him.
