Labor secretary Solis delayed in confirmation because of her husbands tax problems..
oh.. and she is an Ex. LOBBYIST
This would be getting old if it wasn't so damn funny
When he still sits on his "ethics and accountability" high horse. (starting to look like a lame donkey by now)
It started as "yes we can".. then it became Yes we did..
Now it's "I screwed up"

LIES!!! LIES!!! She was never a lobbyist and unless there's guilt by association, she didn't do anything wrong. You really should quit reading right-wing propaganda.

CSI is spinning this hard, and his Schadenfreude is out of place, I think, but he isn't making up the story.

...President Barack Obama pledged in TV interviews this week that he would "make sure that we're not screwing up again" in the vetting process.
...The postponement also came amid ongoing complaints from some Republican lawmakers about Solis' role as a board member and treasurer of American Rights at Work, or ARW, a group pushing for passage of a bill to make it easier for workers to form unions.
Another concern from Republicans is that Solis did not mention her positions with the group on her financial disclosure statements to the House for the years 2004 through 2007.
Vietor called it the result of "an unintentional oversight."
Another "misstake"... it's like the blind leading the blind up there right now..
And I'm sure you think its out of place, must suck to have to defend this whole mess..
But in light of his statements on ethics and accountability, as well as this weeks "make sure we don't screw up" this is DAMN funny to those of us that were arguing his lack of experience to begin with. -

Ahhh now I understand why this is such a big deal. Can't have people forming unions if they want to! We're for free trade capitalism, so long as the individuals don't freely come to the conclusion that they want protections from corporations by forming a worker's union!

I hate to support democrats but Hilda Solis has never been declared a Lobbyist in any Lobbying Disclosure Form by the House which can be looked up online. She has arguably lobbied for certain things politically but unfortunately this doesn't always meet the needed criteria.

Oh, and then of course there is Democrat Rangel

No wonder the Dems are for higher taxes, doesn't matter if you never pay them.
This is just too rich!-
Yep. Plan on 4 years of these kinds of attacks. The last thing they want is to do any real work to get us out of this mess. One way to avoid the hard work is to gut Obama and his administration.
By the way, the OP could have posted this story with a little bit of tact, but he set it with a snarky tone. That's about his speed.
And there's no way I'm clicking a link to Fox News.

Hey dems need a good story right now as it's kind of hard to top Blagojevich.
Hmmm I need a look at this radar. Where's the radar? -
I am quite pissed off, enough to have posted about it, but thought it funny that someone satirically called it "Obama's sting operation".
I'll take tax evasion over outright corruption any day though, and so far as least the Repubs have a one up on that.-
I don't know mark my parents both make huge incomes but they're taxes are done together even though my fathers corporation and my mothers - which is much smaller - are done separately. i think this thing is pretty prevalent among those with money and I'm glad it is coming out. I also thing Obama and maybe his team are pretty naive in their thinking that most people do the right thing all the time.

The article i saw noted the husband as the "sole proprietor" if that is correct then there is a passthrough entity. Which means that there is no difference between his taxes and his company taxes.
So then it becomes a matter of wether they have separate economies. Which isn't that likely.
Legal, maybe, ethical. Nope.
