I've been seeing this image a lot lately. For one, the most obvious claim (socialistic policies) being expressed is unreasoned; the poster has deeper undertones and implications that expand socialism; and these undertones and implications are the root in the inability of some to view Pres.Obama as the legitimate leader of our country. Please post your thoughts and/or read my page.

"inability to view... yada yada...
So what does that make this then???

Something that I and most of the public has probably never seen...Whereas the image I showed is in mass circulation....you even have it as you avatar. The other expression doesn't have the same implications as this one and doesn't directly express a "fault"(socialism caption). Comparison of these two images is faulty, because the subjects are completely different. No one has ever questioned the birthplace of Bush, requested his birth certificate, called him a liar before congress or persistently called him a socialist, with no backing--in the mainstream media.

No they called him every name in the book from criminal to liar to stupid.
And this has nothing to do with skin color. Last I checked, every personification of the Joker has been a white man. So it's hard to claim that It's racial.
Unless of course facts doesn't matter and you are just out to demonize. -
The entire premise of this blog post is off. First, for your claims of hypocrisy, you assume that everyone who posts this poster was a George W. Bush supporter (?) and that anyone who opposes Obama is a George W. Bush supporter, also known as a "False Dilemma." Obama is Obama - discussing George W. Bush is in no way, shape or form relevant to Obama. Live with it.
Second, you say that it's designed to incite fear - I'm not so sure it's so much fear as mocking an inflated ego and overdone sweetness and corny 50's nonsense, sort of like how MAD magazine always joked about Johnboy Walton being a serial killer.
Third, you fail to discuss in any meaningful way why Obama would be considered foreign. You very briefly mention race, and then leave your thesis completely orphaned of an argument. You fail to discuss any alternative possibilities for why some would consider Obama foreign, from the downright silly (his name), to the way he talks and acts (which is almost as silly), to the more substantive objections to Obamas values, which are, as far as we can tell from his books and speeches, highly collectivist and conformist, and the actions of his more fervent followers, who almost resemble zombies. This may, indeed, be where the "Socialist" label comes from, though I've always personally seen him as more similar to Mussolini or McCarthy.
I do agree that Mr. Wilson was out of line, although it's hardly the first time. Not that long ago, Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-CA) showed immense disrespect to a General addressing the Senate. While that's not at quite the same level, it does convey a general and growing attitude.-
Agree. The OP is basically a loaded question. Objectivity is out the window on this one.
I supported some of Bush's policies and I opposed some of them. But be that as it may, how I feel about one President has little or no bearing on how I feel about other Presidents. I absolutely LOATHE 99.9% of Obama's policies, actions and stances. I do not know him personally, but in the few moments that I have seen him on TV when he wasn't campaigning (BTW, would someone please tell him the election was a year ago already?!) he comes across as a friendly, personable fellow. And as he proved, someone you could have a beer with. But there are bars full of people one can have a beer with, that doesn't make them great leaders, however.
As for the poster - it is just a stupid picture that became a piece of pop culture. It is funny, it pokes fun at his pompousness and it struck a chord with the public. It isn't racist. It isn't angry. It is just a picture.

Has a congressman ever interrupted his speech do this...
No, the democrats just Booed him during the state of the union.

Jeremy and Antics try to address the argument. CSI only offers the old "you did it too" argument according to the beloved "two wrongs make a right" school of thought.
We had a thread on this about two months ago. Can't remember if any of its content would add anything, but here's the link, just in case: www.blogcatalog.com/politics/discuss/entry/obama-joker-or-minstrel-images-
As always you miss the point. CLio,
The picture isn't about two wrongs, It's about one right.
As for the outburst Mr. Wilson did, dims seem to conveniently forget the booing of bush, so that they can claim no one has ever been soooo rude in congress before. In order to make Wilson out to be something special, which of course he isn't since there was a score of people booing Bush.
There is no constructive argument to make against a pointless OP that 1. Is about 10 weeks behind it's time 2. Is only trying to create linkbait and 3. Isn't interested in fact but only hate and ridicule.
