Political Discussions

Sen. Barack Obama is expected to hold a rally Sunday in Civic Center park, where two of the last three Democratic presidential candidates to win Colorado held rousing political gatherings.

The campaign today confirmed Obama will be in Colorado on Sunday but did not release a location or other details.

A spokeswoman for the city's parks and recreation department, however, said the campaign had secured a permit for Civic Center.

The Civic Center Park amphitheater has Greek columns, so Obama should be very comfortable there.

I'll go down there and take some pictures -- maybe I'll get a Mohawk haircut, wear an army jacket and dark sunglasses...

Why do that? I like the hairstyle you are presently sporting.

Thanks, Theresa! I was kidding about the Mohawk. Ever see the movie Taxi Driver?

I sure hope his Grandmother hangs in there for the election. She must be so very proud of Barrack. It is hard to see your older and frail loved ones in poor health. "Safe trip Senator." Peace out. Nighty-night

Update: I beat you to it! Obama spoke in Albuquerque last night - official estimates of the crowd was 45,000 to 50,000. That's about double what was anticipated! My feets are tired today, but I'm happy that I took this chance to see history being made!
