   What's being forgotten seems to be the fact that by law, the U.S. Census cannot ask questions about religion.Therefore, only "studies" can be used to derive numbers from. In addition, when it comes to counting in these various studies there are also plenty of other difficulties in coming up with a number, starting with the problem of defining exactly who is a Muslim as there are multiple sects. www.religioustolerance.org/isl_numb.htm
   
   Given the enormity of the issues that loom before the President at this time and the factors I pointed to above, once again I'm finding this nit picking that's always focused on directing negativity towards Obama, and always resembles the old schoolyard ... nah, nah, nah, nah, nah taunts ... to be annoying.
   
   America is a country with a large and religiously diverse population and it's long past time for citizens there to abandon the antiquated "melting-pot" model and get with the "multicultural" model. The time for touting tolerance has passed; the time for acceptance and cooperation is now.
   
   It is possible to create an environment of peace and harmony even between those who have are of different faiths. But preoccupations of this kind do not contribute to embracing equanimity; they dwell on differences, rather than focusing on commonalities.

   Here's a math lesson for you. The US is one of (ONE of) the largest countries in the world by population (300 million + is a lot of people, although China beats us hands down). That automatically puts any percentages that we have at the top.
   
   Ergo, we may have a smaller percentage of Muslims than other countries, but our small percentage is still greater in number than the populations of many countries out there.
   
   In other words, 10% of 300 million is more than 100% of a country with the population of 29 million. Get it?
