I found this topic that seems not to be carried by our news media. I hope it does not come to be true.
It seems that Obama wants to take Jerusalem away from the Israelis. I guess I missed it when he ran for president in Israel.

[However, the official said the new administration no longer seems to see Israel as a "special" or "extraordinary" state in the Middle East, with which the U.S. must maintain a different dialogue than with other states.
"The feeling is that the dialogue and coordination with the Arab states and with Europe is today no less important to the U.S. and perhaps more so than with Israel," the official said.]

"...in his June 4th speech in Cairo, President Obama will say it is time to divide Jerusalem and make the holy city the capital of a Palestinian state."

So the misinformation campaign from the hysterical right has a new issue to sink its teeth into. . . . Not exactly first-rate sources you're citing there.

You are doubting a PLO source? I can see how you might dismiss WND because they aren't left enough for you, but when both a PLO and an Israeli source both say the same thing, how can you dismiss it as right wing spin? Makes no sense. And why is worrying that our President is more aligned with the Muslim world, rather than with one of our staunchest allies considered misinformation?
Furthermore, the Haaretz is very left wing, in fact it has been called Israel's Liberal Beacon. So I don't get how you can call it a less than reputable source? -
I would look to recent statements by Obama (and Clinton and Mitchell), not spin from the left or right in any country. That's just chatter. Thing is, though, you're not going to find any statements from someone in the administration that lay this out in black and white, because diplomacy doesn't work like that. Whatever he is suggesting, he is not pushing for what the title of this thread implies, and he is not talking about abandoning Israel, as you suggest below. I stand by my initial response. This is a reprise of the campaign last spring.
