    OK, Political compass:
    Economic Left/Right: -8.62
    Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -6.77

This is from another test I took:

    ANd, D&D results:
    Neutral Good

A neutral good character does the best that a good person can do. He is devoted to helping others. He works with kings and magistrates but does not feel beholden to them. The common phrase for neutral good is "true good." Neutral good is the best alignment you can be because it means doing what is good without bias toward or against order.

I did The Political Compass a while ago, but I don't feel like doing it right now so may be later. There is also The Moral Matrix for morals/ethics in politics which I didn't feel was very accurate (also done a while ago). I remember the D&D test and I'm Neutral Good.

Also there is Worlds Smallest Political Quiz as previously shown and this is mine:

I found the moral compass test, it's not half bad for a test, I felt the results were fairly accurate. (As accurate as they can be - the only thing I disagree with is the part of the system that states I want a large strong government. I only want that in terms of capitalism, not for individuals).

Your scored -6.5 on Moral Order and 3.5 on Moral Rules.

The following categories best match your score (multiple responses are possible):

      1. System: Socialism
      2. Ideology: Activism
      3. Party: No match.
      4. Presidents: Jimmy Carter
      5. 04' Election: David Cobb
      6. 08' Election: Dennis Kucinich

      2. 84% are more conservative.
      3. 1% are more liberal.
      4. 1% are more socialist.
      5. 12% are more authoritarian.

      SOCIAL DEMOCRATISM

Social Democratism is a moderate form of Socialism.

The Social Democratic current came into being by a break within the Socialist movement in the early 20th century. One reformist group of Socialists rejected the idea of a Socialist revolution, and instead tried to achieve the Socialist ideals through Democratic means.

Social Democrats are in favor of a highly regulated Capitalist market economy, but with a strong and large government [Moderate Interdependence].

Social Democracy is often considered the most commonly embraced political ideology in the world.

Anok, hmm... you also got some Kucinich on your, even though u r more authoritarian. Very interesting. No offence about that "pinko" business btw.
    3. Anok
Nah - I'm used to being called a pinko commie bastard

I liked kucinich - I'll bet he's showing up because of the liberal social agenda, rather than (for me) the economic aspect, which is where my authoritarian side comes out.
    4. Agit8r
actually, ACCORDING TO Moral Compass, only TWO percent were more "socialist." I assume that they are including any movement that is associated with socialism, rather than a belief in planned economy. On socio-economic matters, I consider myself pragmatic. Trying to achieve many of the same goals as socialists, while not following the dogma, or endorsing the coercive means that often accompany them. I find it interesting that while many hard working individual tend to be against socialism as such, most would not want to roll back the 40 hr work-week or many other aspect of economic life that have been forwarded by socialists.

    "6. 08' Election: Dennis Kucinich"

I remember this one. I got Ron Paul.

I did not like how the party affiliation was divided/structured and may be I'll explain more later but that's basically what I didn't like the rest was pretty good. A lot of it is it doesn't have a good basic ideological balance. It covers the majority but not necessarily minorities. They do not accurately reflect libertarianism or populism accurately.
    1. Anok
I loved Kucinich in the primaries - that's what's funny. But I couldn't vote in the democratic primaries, so that was out

No surprise here with the "no match" party
    2. libertycast1
I'll have to take it again I can't remember what I got it was Libertarian or Neolibertarian or something of that nature.
  5. Epicharis
    Political Compass:
    Economic Left/Right: -6.62
    Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -6.46

    D&D:
    Chaotic Good
A chaotic good character acts as his conscience directs him with little regard for what others expect of him. He makes his own way, but he’s kind and benevolent. He believes in goodness and right but has little use for laws and regulations. He hates it when people try to intimidate others and tell them what to do. He follows his own moral compass, which, although good, may not agree with that of society. Chaotic good is the best alignment you can be because it combines a good heart with a free spirit.

I took the test a few months ago and came out liberal. With the economy in a free fall and massive unemployment numbers (another 650k last month), the only way to ease the pain is with liberal policies and the only way to avoid something like this in the future is through regulation.
    1. libertycast1
      Nice placement of economic regulation.
    2. Agit8r
I'm not so certain that regulation of business practices is necessarily a "liberal" position. prior to the 1830's corporate charters were granted on the basis of serving the public good (although they were also expected to turn a profit for stockholders), and those charters could be revoked if such conditions were not met. This was in keeping with Adam Smith's doctrine that the issuance of publically traded stock should be for those entities like banks, insurance companies, canals, etc. whose operations were "reducible to strict rule and method." Seems to me that some degree of regulation goes along with the fundementals of market economics.
    3. libertycast1
Well it is now though not historically. Regulation of somethings has changed over time. Remember Thomas Jefferson was closest to modern day Libertarians and he started what became the Democratic Party. The conservative end has seen some changes from the Whig to Republican party as well.
    4. Agit8r
Well, to be certain of the four principle ideologues among the founding fathers (Jefferson, Madison, Adams, and Hamilton) Jefferson was for the least amount of institutional government (and the greatest degree of self-governance). That being said, he was also the least Anarcho-Capitalist of those four. So with regard to the Libertarian Party as such he has little in common. Also with regard to Reagan--the great Bust-truster--who played to wearing his mantle, I'm afraid not. If you mean libertarian in the broader sence of the term, then yes he was (Madison close behind--despite his Hobbesian belief in a strong central government). It would be hard to categorize Jefferson in terms of modern political parties. His ideology would probably be closest to the Democratic Freedom Caucus.
  7. Agit8r
Is there a politician character in D&D? Perhaps your character could declare "War on Magic" raise an army to accomplish this political goal, resulting in a quagmire between the warriors and mages.
    1. voodooKobra
Not a standard class, to my knowledge. But you could make one.
  8. Agit8r
    good to know
  9. Agit8r
I finally took the "moral compass" quiz. I'm convinced that ACORN came up with it to promote Obama. I also note that even though my views are rather in keeping with those of Freidrich Hayek (except with regard to the environment) the results paint me as some sort of pinko. lol
