Political Discussions

I know the Obama administration's preference is to let the past remain in the past, but I wonder how much longer they will be able to get away with that. Now there is evidence that Rove was involved in the New Mexico U.S. Attorney's firing, thereby making the political interference we've known about even clearer.

A different crime, but also about dealing with the Bush administration:

Today's "To the Point" show on CIA torture suggests that the Obama administration might not be able to ignore law-breaking in the CIA either, though surely it doesn't need the politics that this would unloose. www.kcrw.com/news/programs/tp/tp090811shedding_light_on_th

If Holden pursues this. Fine. But what is good for the goose, is good for the gander.

Proof aside from this one man's whining? (You've offered this link before on another thread, and you argued it about it there.)

And how is this even remotely related to the Justice Department scandal, one that ended up losing Gonzalez his job?

Your response, however, offers a fine example of what we might be able to look forward to. Oh goody.

This is just another example of you giving El Presidente a pass. Did you even read the article? Or are you just like ruin, you rant without reading posted links.

I will give you plenty to choose from.

Look mark. For 5 minutes, quit being a drone and do some thinking of your own. Just read the article. Any of the links I provided. Read them and then tell me why you think it is not worth pursuing. Why you don't think it was political and was done to cover up wrong doing.

I am asking you to just stop automatically giving Obama a pass and read about this firing. That is all I am asking. Then give an unbiased, rhetoric free answer, okay?

more links based on the same evidence ≠ more evidence

So I take it you once again refuse to answer one of my questions. This is getting to be a pattern for you. Incidentally, you asked me a question on your 'birther' thread and I answered it fully and without rhetoric.

Why do you do this? Are you afraid to answer direct questions? Does that make it easier for you? I am curious, because when you and I first started butting heads here, in a shout to me you said that "I was out there. I commented on things, and should expect my views to be questioned." (paraphrasing)

So it is okay for me to be questioned, but not you?

      C'mon mark. Answer my question.

"I am asking you to just stop automatically giving Obama a pass and read about this firing. That is all I am asking. Then give an unbiased, rhetoric free answer, okay?"

In case I wasn't crystal clear in my OP, I'm interested in two things here:

    (1) Is evidence accumulating to the point where the Obama administration or Congress will have to act on it?

    (2) What are the politics of such action or inaction?

Personally, I don't think it would be so good to go there, but for political reasons. That said, we are a nation of laws, which means there could come a time where this is not a matter of choice.

    Antics,

Just read the article he posted. The one from "thehill" .. i'm not even going to bother with the blogspot one for obvious reasons.

"Rove and Bush counsel Harriet Miers denied they ordered the firing of David Iglesias and at least eight other U.S. attorneys for political reasons. "

    Note, key word, "Ordered"

    Then the "DAMAGING" (cough) evidence.
Judiciary Chairman John Conyers (D-Mich.) said the investigation revealed a concerted effort on behalf of Rove and other White House officials to remove Iglesias and other U.S. attorneys for political reasons.

My GOD, a DEMOCRAT trying to go after Rove, whodathunkit.

The democrats own little "birther" movement, of course this is nothing like a "conspiracy" (cough)..

Yeah, I read it. That was why I dismissed it out of hand. Unlike some libs on BC, I read what is posted. Especially when I am going to comment on it.

Commenting without reading will 'ruin' a person and put a bad 'mark' on them...
