Sex and politics.

Prostitutes, glamour models, nude parties, relationship with a 17 year old, you name it and Berlusconi the Italian Prime Minister has been reported as being involved in it.

A politician in the UK or US would have a short career if they were associated with this behaviour.

However it does beg the question if someone is the right woman or man for the job what has their sex life got to do with it?

e.g. JFK would not have lasted 5 minutes in today's political world with his bedroom antics.

I don't know, but I've been thinking Berlusconi must be pretty sleazy to upset even the usually blasé Europeans.

  I also saw him play hide and seek with Merkel on a BBC video. He hid when she arrived and he was supposed to be receiving him. Another time he got out of the car talking on the cell phone while she waited and waited and . . .

In this day and age it probably wouldn't have anything to do with it just because everyones been taught to be promiscuos anyways. Still, sexual promiscuity is actually pretty darn disrespectful of both yourself and others, but it takes a very deep person to catch this and as such these days only fear really stops people from engaging in such behavior. Sad, but true.
