Being a big question whether there will be the establishment of the International Criminal Court to judge the Israel aggression on the Palestinians, which began on 29 December 2008 to the unilateral ceasefire declaration by Israel on 18 January 2009. Mechanism of the aggression is one way to create peace and security in Palestine, especially Gaza city. If not the aggression of Israel could cause a snow ball effect that unusual situation of security and peace of the world. The situation is not the world will be more secure, because many parties are sympathetic to the Palestinian people will make efforts to revenge against Israel and the parties are considered supporting Israel militarily. Attempts to predict its own main judges will be increased and this is very dangerous for world peace process.
Israeli aggression has resulted in the death of a remarkable number of civil society in Palestine. According to database from the Health Authority in the Palestinian Gaza Strip and the database gathered from a variety of health volunteers in the region, the data obtained minimun 1120 Palestinians killed people, most of the civil society, and 2 / 3 of the dead are women and children children. More than 5000 people are injured and disabled, in the sense feet or hands exposed bomb destroyed. Israeli soldiers have also been 2 people shot dead journalists who were covering the war, the volunteer fire on officers and health and humanity, destroy civil facility such as mosques, hospitals and a school founded by the United Nations also bombed which accounts for more than 38 the child died. Besides killing of civilians (non-combatant), which violates the geneva conventions, Israel also use the mass destructive weapons is strictly prohibited the United Nations, the Bom Fosphor objects that can be destroyed any object aroundly, and also according to the description of a medical volunteer who came from Norway, alleged Israel has been using a type of bomb DME (dense inert metal explosive), which contains tungsten powder (chemical compound which is very rare). Bomb explosion DIME for people who are affected will destroyed whole body to the bone. Type of injury due to bomb found on the Dime many Palestinian citizens who died.
Based on database obtained, should have been alleged to Israel some types of crimes against humanity a very serious and violate the principles of humanitarian law as found in several sources of international law and also some of jurisprudence, such as the Geneva Conventions in 1949, decision - decision in the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda, the International Criminal Tribunal former Yugoslavia.

Regarding the numbers... You can’t treat Palestinian reports like something you get from an objective western reporter. Many of the UN workers in the Gaza strip are actually just Palestinians working for the UN. With the Palestinians, truth comes after public relations. It wouldn’t surprise me if the actual number of uninvolved civilian casualties is much lower. The number they reported probably includes all the natural deaths from old age during that period, people that were executed by Hamas (e.g. Fatah supporters), large portion of Hamas fighters reported as innocent civilians, and just fake deaths. I guess you find the fact that Palestinian media can’t be trusted surprising… well my friend… welcome to the Middle East…
Although the Palestinians chose a terrorist organization as their elected government, it was not a war against the whole Palestinian people, just against Hamas (and some of its satellite organizations). Israel is doing its best in an impossible situation. As you probably know, Hamas terrorists have been firing rockets on Israeli towns for the last 8 years. They are using civilians as human shields, and fire from within private houses, schools, hospitals and mosques (see YouTube for proof). Sometimes they don’t let their own civilians escape from the launching sites, forcing them to stay for the Israeli retaliation, hoping they would die in order to get some public relations points.
Israel usually warns the population before bombing an area or a house (what is known here as the “knock on the roof” policy) - no other country in the world does that, not even the USA. In war there will always be civilian casualties, but when Israel is harming Palestinian civilians it’s an unfortunate accident, while Hamas’ main goal IS harming uninvolved Israeli civilians.
International court? No problem! Let the truth be heard!-
Well you're clearly Israeli so you would say that - 'just Palestinians working for the UN - With the Palestinians, truth comes after public relations blah blah blah. We're heard all this garbage from the Israeli nazis over the last few weeks, particularly from the toxic Regev, who, being Australian has no right to be there.
Just to counter one of your oft repeated lies; Hamas kept to the ceasefire for six months, during which time Israel continued the blocade, switched off power and water at will, prevented aid from getting in and people from leaving, and eventually when Hamas had still not responded, killed several Hamas people from a drone. THEN Hamas responded, as Israel intended, giving the fascists the green light to launch an offensive against all the people there, with the result we have witnessed, thousands dead and injured, small children with limbs blown off, children shot in their grandparents arms by Israeli filth who ordered them out of their house, there is plenty of evidence, the UN had people there who are not Palestinian, and they all say the same thing. So your pathetic attempt to regurgitate the lies as some kind of argument is a failure, the world knows the truth.
Interesting to see the Israeli fascist government has an official liar here on Blogcatalog, and don't come out with the old anti-Semitism slur to try to rubbish opposition, I know more Jews who despise what you are doing than you've had hot dinners, and I've been around long enough to know the score. Anyone want to see the real scale of Israeli theft of Palestinian lands can see here on UN maps: www.ccmep.org/delegations/maps/palestine.html.
Remember, liar, we have all seen the little needle bomblets that spray death inside a house, we've all seen the remnants of the phosphor bombs you have been dropping on civilian built up areas which is illegal under international law [which of course Israel doesn't acknowledge as it's all got up by a bunch of Goyim isn't it, so not being Jews means they don't count and don't have to be respected.
You are racists just as much as the Nazis. You are taking out your anger and shame over the Jewish compliance in the Holocaust by punishing Palestinians, how about picking on someone your own size for a change? Cowards.
Gaza is a large concentration camp, Israel wants the last bit of coastline for itself, it is slowly killing and driving people out, untilit can move it rabid settlers back in. Nobody is fooled, WE KNOW WHAT YOU ARE UP TO AND ARE WATCHING YOU. -
@foolonthehill - while I have made my opinions on this war clear in other threads, I would like to say that Uri has been a competent and honest member of blogcatalog for some time now.
And while you and he disagree (as he and I disagree) about this war, he is looking at things from his perspective just as we are looking at it from our perspective, he has remained rather calm in the debates about this, and has stated his opinions clearly and without much in the way of name calling or nastiness.
I highly doubt that Uri is a "liar". I think it would be prudent to open up the lines of communications and hear what he has to say so that he can hear what you have to say as well. Uri is agood guy, give him a chance to talk openly, and he will. -
"Well you're clearly Israeli so you would say that - 'just Palestinians working for the UN - With the Palestinians, truth comes after public relations blah blah blah."
Very interesting--you seem to be challenging the assertion that Palestinian reports might be biased by asserting that any report from an Israeli is obviously biased? -
@foolonthehill,
Well, Peter, it is possible that you, a 67 year old guy from another continent, knows more about Israel and Palestine than me, a 35 year old Israeli who’s been serving in the IDF since he was 18 years old, and spent about 3 years of his life in the Gaza strip and the West Bank, but anyway, this is how I see things. Most of what I think about operation Cast Lead is on another thread ( www.blogcatalog.com/politics/discuss/entry/massacre-while-we-are-watching ) so you might wanna check it out.
Regarding Hamas… here’s a piece from article 13 of the Hamas Charter:
“[Peace] initiatives, the so-called peaceful solutions, and the international conferences to resolve the Palestinian problem, are all contrary to the beliefs of the Islamic Resistance Movement. For renouncing any part of Palestine means renouncing part of the religion; the nationalism of the Islamic Resistance Movement is part of its faith, the movement educates its members to adhere to its principles and to raise the banner of Allah over their homeland as they fight their Jihad.”
Some more pieces from the charter can be found here: (middleeast.about.com/od/palestinepalestinians/a/me080106b.htm )
As you can see, Hamas, by its creed, will never seek peace with Israel and uses the temporary cease fires only to accumulate weapon as a preparation for future attacks; as you probably understand, a cease fire with Hamas is kind of a joke…
You said “You are racists just as much as the Nazis. You are taking out your anger and shame over the Jewish compliance in the Holocaust by punishing Palestinians”
- You clearly don’t understand the Israeli society. Although I sometimes don’t agree with the Israeli policy, I can say without a doubt that its actions have always been an attempt to provide better security for its citizens, and not driven by hate to anyone, and these are the values that we raise our kids by; the Israeli society simply does not believe in hate or revenge, but I’m afraid it is not true for major parts of the Palestinian society. As a proof - zero attacks by Israelis on German civilians although almost half the families in Israel (my family included) lost family members to the Nazis.
In my point of view, the final (peaceful) solution to this conflict is clear – a two state solution. Israel would have to give up the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, and the Palestinians would have to give up their claim for their right to return to Israeli cities. For several years now, the Israeli society has accepted the fact that these two regions will not be a part of the future Israel (mostly thanks to Ariel Sharon). Peace now waits for a brave Palestinian leader that will settle for less than “from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea”.
You don’t know me. You might not agree with my view of this conflict, but I’ve always tried to be as honest as I can in this forum, so calling me a liar is inappropriate.

Agreeing with urikalish. The civilian Palestinians are caught in the middle. Once real international aid workers and officials get into Gaza, the actual number of civilian dead and injured will be known. But if you are under attack, you tend to defend yourself. Israel showed remarkable restraint, even telephoning buildings about to be attacked so people could evacuate. Very nice of them, and not something war criminals would bother doing.
As satijournal said, "war is hell". I would add that war is tragedy writ large. But it is also not something we're going to eliminate by wishful or simplistic thinking.-
Well you swallowed the Israeli lies then. Let's see some evidence they telephoned anyone. Israel showed restraint? Are you for real? They spend weeks smashing the area to bits, preventing anyone from leaving and journalists from going in, and you think that's restraint. I suppose lack of restraint would have been nuking them with their non-existent nukes.
