What happens to Sarah Palin now?

Sarah Palin was way in over her head and the republican party has turned on her. With her limited abilities, she did the best she could which. The sad part of it was everything she did in this campaign was the best she could do. What happens to her now? I'm curious to know what some bloggers think.
Thanks

She is the female Ronald Reagan of the Republican Party. She draws huge crowds and inspires immense enthusiasm. (This is why our left-wing media hates her with a passion, and are trying their best to bury her before her popularity has a chance to take hold and flower.) I expect she will be playing a big role in the GOP from here on.

Actually, anybody who isn't on the far right hates her because she's divisive, anti-intellectual (that means anti-knowledge and anti-thinking about things) and dishonest, and drums up hatred against anyone who doesn't think the way she does (see "real America").
Most people on the left, however, are really hoping she get the Republican nomination in 2012, since then Obama will be reelected easily. -
Jack,
I think Huckabee will re-emerge as the voice of that sector of the population that responded so well to Sarah Palin. He has far less baggage and is less of a lightning rod for criticism.
But I don't think Palin's done, by any stretch of the imagination.
I would predict she's been planning Mrs. Palin Goes to Washington... She'll give Ted Stevens a chance to "retire" and she will give up her Governorship to run for his Senate seat. (And the republicans who have been leaking such damaging info from the McCain campaign are going to run into the freshman Senator from Alaska in the hallway of the Hart building before they know it... Ooops!)
What con would that be -- bait and switch?

I second that MidwestMom, about Huckabee. I judged him to be very electable from the first time I saw him speak. As far as stances on the issues, Huckabee isn't that different from Palin, and I would likely never vote for him. But I have nothing against Huckabee as a person the way I do against Palin, nor would I if he became the nominee and was drawing huge crowds and inspiring people, which just proves how off-the-mark Jack Payne's analysis is.
Huckabee isn't spiteful, he seems willing to engage in discussion, and he comes across as sincere. Palin is the opposite, and that is why she is a disaster and so many people can't stand her (not just liberals). Conservatives who fawn over her are just trying to distract from the very real and legitimate reasons people consider her a joker who is way out of her depth by making accusations of jealousy and bitterness. So lame.
