Political Discussions

It is said that the Greater Middle East Plan is a political term coined by the Bush administration to englobe together various countries, pertaining to the Arab world, Iran, Turkey, Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Why do you think the world needs such a plan??
What is the real purpose??
What is the details about the plan ??

And will the plan be changed in administration of Obama?
What do you think ??

What "englobe" means is unclear from that Wikipedia article, but I read the article you cite rather differently than you. All they are doing is talking about how apparently the Bush administration (or parts of it) perceived a larger area as one region. There is no plan mentioned in that article, no details, no ulterior motives, nothing. Here is another example of the term "Greater Middle East" being used: www.brookings.edu/papers/2006/spring_middleeast_gordon.aspx.

Geography is relative, and this is just one way of referring to a piece of the world. It can make sense in some situations and no sense in others. It depends on what phenomena you are trying to comprehend.

In the article you cited it seems like USA looks for a new role for NATO desperately.

It is also said "Many of these operations (referring to NATO operations) are limited in scope and political discussions in and about the Greater Middle East are still in their early stages."

So we can clearly see that Afghanistan and Iraq operations were just a beginning for the Greater Middle East Plan.

Was another part of the plan the Gazza attacks of Israel?
What is next according to this plan??

Again, I think there is a problem with your English language comprehension and/or your reading skills. Where do you get seeking and desperation? How about focusing on what the material actually says instead of what you want to find in it?

      I'm done.
