I write about what happened to Tennessee based on election results last night. It's frightening the route Tennessee seems to be taking. Go to peoplepowergranny.blogspot.com and check it out, and then tell us about what happened in your favorite state, from a local election or one for the president.

My home state of Pennsylvania. Once I heard that it had been called for Obama--by a wide margin--early in the evening, I knew everything was going to be okay.....

I gotta say, I loved it when Ohio went for Obama

And of course I'm always interested in my state of New Mexico. We're only 5 EV's but we're feisty. And this election was especially great because NM went solid BLUE - our Presidential vote, our two Senators, and our 3 Representatives are now all Democrats - that means we added 1 Senate and 2 House seats on the Democratic side!

    FLORIDA!

I believe Obama carried both the Hispanic vote and the Jewish vote here. Both usually vote Republican.

I was watching Florida as well. I got the sense that maybe Florida would play an important role after Bill Clinton came down there to speak along side Obama. Al Gore went too. I figured maybe they knew something I didn't.

Virginia - if McCain couldn't take that he never had a chance at the others...

I watched for my homestate of Nevada. I shouted for joy when it turned blue! My county, Clark, where Las Vegas is, overwhelmingly went for Obama over McCain. That's what I wanted to and hoped to see.

I lived in Tennessee from age one to age four, in Knoxville. My cousin still resides there. It is sad indeed to hear what you wrote about. Seems so backwards.

I watched the entire map with baited breath. Florida, Pennsylvania, Virginia and North Carolina, where my brother and his wife now reside. It was so intense and I am glad it worked out all right.
