Political Discussions

Would Samuel A. Maverick, the 19th century Texas rancher who did not brand his cattle, thus providing inspiration for the coining of the word "maverick," condone McCain and Palin's incessant use of his last name to promote their political agendas?

      You've seen Obama's ass?

PS - Both sides, and pretty much all high-level politicians, have ties to special interests, don't be so naive.

Hello, 911... I'd like to report a crime. CSI just murdered comedy.

That is AWESOME. From the article:

Considering the family’s long history of association with liberalism and progressive ideals, it should come as no surprise that Ms. Maverick insists that John McCain, who has voted so often with his party, “is in no way a maverick, in uppercase or lowercase.”

“It’s just incredible — the nerve! — to suggest that he’s not part of that Republican herd. Every time we hear it, all my children and I and all my family shrink a little and say, ‘Oh, my God, he said it again.’ ”

      “He’s a Republican,” she said. “He’s branded.”

PLUS the family coined "gobbledygook" I mean, how cool is that?

      Wow, I didn't expect that.

One of Maverick's descendants should have run for president, he'd have a great shot. Even if he voted with party 100% of the time, he'd still be a Maverick.

I don't know if he would support McCain per se. However, being a cattle rancher, he'd at least be used to the excessive amounts of bull sh*t coming from the McCain campaign.
