Okay, posted an issue to try to get save_edit in D7 Core. Save & Edit functionality in core bit.ly/2ei8q Please chime in!
considering options of how to patch my save_edit module into D7 core
fixed a bug from the original save_edit code on returning to admin/content/node if it was set in $destination on an initial edit
just updated drupal.org/project/save_edit to allow weight sorting of the node buttons
6.x-1.2 of drupal.org/project/save_edit allows for selection of unpublish options. Kinda slick. Need to research revision integration
has finished modifying the save_edit module to have a great update with publish/unpublish features. will commit after some food!
is working on some publish/unpublish features for the save_edit to make it more "usable"
