MoneyMoose - Money Blog for Real "Professionals"

Always hilarious, your blog provides a humerous look at today's financial world. Your posts kept me in stitches with the sarcasm and wit! Your layout is quite nice, with soft, bright colors, although you might want to try implementing a custom header to replace the blue, if it can be done. One of the only problems I can see is the BlogRush widget. Although I don't personally think blogrush is worth the space on anybody's blog, I can understand that it might bring a good amount of traffic to some. I recommend changing the flavor to something that matches your blog a bit more...

Mmmmm... there are some tasty pictures on your blog that make me want to print out the recipe and bake it myself, even though I can't bake worth beans. My mouth started watering just going over the list of recent posts. Your color scheme, though eclectic, somehow gels together perfectly for a cooking blog. However, you should probably limit the amount of posts you have on your front page to 10 or 15. This will increase loading time and not make people intimidated by a long scrolling bar. However, the rest of your sidebar is a graveyard of widgets that humm and whir and flashout at me - but chances are the average person won't visit them. Try to keep your link lists into a compact area, and take away any unnecessary blog community badges or "add this" signs. Don't forget to review my blog too!

I absolutely love your header with its sweeping lines and different shades of red... it is beautifully done. Your sidebar needs some cleaning up. You are not in alone in this problem, as millions have packed their sidebars to the brim with pictures, widgets, and games. Be honest: how much traffic has blogrush brought you? Is it worth the space on your blog? As for your content, you have a wide variety of topics, which is both a good and a bad thing. Good because people wanted an eclectic mix will be attracted. Bad because many readers want information on a specific subject, and may not have patience for an ever-changing array of subjects. I think you have some excellent pictures, but they need to be made smaller, with links to larger versions.

The first thing that struck me was the lightning header. (Haha, get it?) It is interesting, and certianly attention-grabbing. Your sidebar needs cleaning though. It has the potential to be very well organized, but you first need to put it in order of what you want the reader to see. Also, you have got to do something about that horrible blue-and-white striped background. Solid colors that match your color scheme need to be implemented. Your content, however, which is the most important thing, is very nice. I found myself reading each post on the page until I was at the bottom. I like the way you put third-party material in gray boxes, and your links are not some crzy color to distinguish them - this is very good. Don't forget to review my blog too!

I can't say I relate to the subject of women's lifestyle, but you have an impressive blog all the same. As with most blogs, however, there are too many widgets in the sidebar. Things lke the "color widget" are unnecessary in my opinion. And is it really necessary to make people's location public on a widget in the sidebar? Your content is very good, and written in a snarky, no-nonsense way, which is perfect for the attitude you are trying to convey. You have excellent fashion information, and I anticipate a bright future!

Your blog is very easy to read, and the color scheme just seems to match the cartoon subject of your posts. I love how you show a cartoon or two about a subject, and then interpret it over on the side. I would recommend taking out the "zimbio" link at the top. It probably isn't that necessary. Also, you should change the adsense ads from links to actual ads. These get far higher clickthrough rates, because people can see the product, short description, and URL. Have link ads requires somebody to make two clicks, so it technically cuts your income in half.

Okay, I've got a few major problems right off the bat: 1. Take out those annoying, moving things on the sidebar that cut into the content and make scrolling down very jerky. Take out pictures, graphics, and other stuff you don't need. You want people to concentrate on your content. You have a serious financial blog, so you want to be as professional and orderly as possible. 2. Make your links a color that is easier on the eyes, not lime green. Consider making the links a darker shade of black than the normal text. 3. Divide your super-long posts into two or three parts that expand over a few days. This will keep content fresh and keep more people coming back. 4. Make all of the fonts on your page the same, because if every post has a different font, it gives the aura of a personal, fun blog. But you have a serious financial blog, so you want to be as professional as possible. 5. Cut out everything in your sidebar except things that pertain to finances. Though the "disk drop" game is fun, it's also a major waste of space and loading time. You also have about a dozen flash banners for your blog. Stick to one or two of those. Not all is lost for you, however. You have excellent content and informative posts. All you need to work on is your layout. Also consider customizing the color scheme to make it more professional. A quick-loading and easy-to-read template is the Minima template. I'm giving you a seven because of your layout. If I was judging strictly on content, it would be a nine. Hope to see your reciprocal review for me sometime soon!
