In 1995, after five years of marriage, I was unemployed, angry, and spinning out of control. Finally reaching a breaking point, my wife packed her things and prepared to take the children to her parents. In one last, desperate cry for help, she told my friend Mark Ferrel what was going on.
He took me aside and said succinctly:
“If you don’t get your sh*t together, you’re going to lose your wife and kids!”
What followed was my miracle.
Mark led me back to the TRUTH...Jesus.
He helped me restore my relationship with God. And he taught me how to live in that place.
Mark walked with me through a four year process of healing and restoration.
He encouraged me.
He challenged me.
He instructed me.
He asked me the hard questions.
He listened.
And he never gave up on me. Even when I gave up on myself. (Which happened more than once during this process!)
That’s what this site is all about.
God never gives up on us.
He wants to be in relationship with us. But stuff gets in our way.
So this site is about practical ways of dealing with the crap that gets in your way of relationship with God...and getting into relationship with God.
And living there.
So no matter where you are at in your walk with God, maybe when we’ve journeyed together for awhile, you might find yourself
“lost in the presence of God,...
and found in the look in His eyes”
