I have always held a deep feeling for art, especially from the renaissance period. I would have to say that Leonardo da Vinci has had the greatest impression on me from the beginning. The painters from what is known as the "Dutch Golden Age" are truly amazing. Rembrandt van Rijn is one that I have the utmost admiration for and attain inspiration from as well as Johannes Vermeer, and the beautiful landscapes of painter Jacob van Ruisdael. I feel I was born to be an artist too, as I have always had a great passion for painting and drawing all of my life. I am a self-taught artist and have been creating my artwork for over 30 years now and continue to in the traditional form. It is a style I would like to see more artists of today paint in as well. In all of the beautiful places that I have traveled to such as Italy, Germany, Holland, Yugoslavia, Switzerland, Hungary and England, I have seen so many beautiful and amazing pieces of art that one cannot help but become inspired.
