Emmerson James Spurrell was born June, 1980 in the Fraser Valley region of British Columbia. At the age of twelve, he became inspired by such authors as Beverly Cleary, Roald Dahl, and Douglas Adams. He soon discovered his love for writing.
In the years since, he's immersed himself in the writings of such authors as HP Lovecraft, Michael Crichton, Dean Koontz, Stephen King, Robert Jordan, Terry Goodkind and others.
In 2000, he moved to the small town of Ladysmith, British Columbia to discover himself.
Now, in 2008, EJ finally finished work on his first full-length novel. Instead of going through the monotony of sending the manuscript around to publishers, he opted instead to start his own website, Celephi Press, where he would publish his work and the works of others for free, online!
Now, he is the owner and founder of Celephi Press. His first book, Engines of Creation: Children of the Halo is due for release very soon. Keep your eyes peeled!
