I am inspired by the power of the arts to teach, heal, awaken and create change. My aim is to reveal the infinite mediums of beauty and inspiration that surround us everyday, highlight important social and environmental issues and show solutions in action. I seek to encourage others to look at the world with fresh eyes and discover the importance of caring for the Earth, ourselves and each other because they are all intimately intertwined. My art is also driven by the deep connection between beauty and spirituality. I believe that if we can learn to see the beauty in any object or situation, we can discover boundless wisdom that will enable us to lead more fulfilling lives. Ultimately, we’ll find that life is truly beautiful.

I am a simple woman. I love space, freedom, holistic ethics, silence and the peace of solitude. Likewise, my work reflects the clarity, genuineness and allurement of objects, people and scenes in their natural state.

My creative process is organic. When photographing a subject I like to preserve the current mood by utilizing materials and conditions already available. I don’t limit myself to one theme, style or technique and I approach each session with no expectations regarding the end result. Instead, I allow my intuition to guide me; using both conventional and alternative techniques to express the inspiration that flows through me.

While landscape and portrait photography are my specialties, I also love macro photography. I am intrigued by the secret lives, processes and events of the micro-worlds that occur unnoticed every moment of every day.

The ocean also greatly influences my artistic vision. Its life-sustaining properties and extraordinary abilities to bring great comfort and utter destruction has always lured me and has helped give birth to an ongoing project called War Zones which highlights the beautiful yet endangered coastal areas of South Carolina.
