Graduate student in mythology taking a little time off to move to a quieter place before starting my dissertation. In the meantime I'm starting a blog on mythology, because it's what I love, and there's not much good in studying it and dissecting it and writing papers about it for other fusty scholars to dissect if you never get to play with it!

Also, I have this crazy notion that our culture still needs mythology, and bards had better figure out the new medium for telling the old stories afresh before we all get soul-sick from facts and politics and the latest celeb scandals. We need a little magic, a little wonder, and the stories that mean things you can't neatly define or stick on a bumper sticker or capture in a Twitter squirt.

By the way, if I don't friend you, I'm... a little shy until I've gotten a feel for a community. Yes, shy, despite the fact that I can post a novel in an hour.
