A childhood around people that were creatively talented has always encouraged me toward trying many types of crafts. Spinning has been a lasting enthusiasm, along with crocheting, mostly because of the German Angoras and their wonderful fiber. I dye yarn, fiber and other fabrics and work with vintage items to enhance handmade creations that I design. A lifetime love of books has led to my other 'job' of book dealer and then to dealing in antiques. I've been writing for my own enjoyment since childhood and have long kept a journal as a habit. I believe everyone has a story to tell. I am not overly political, consider myself spiritual rather than religious, and try to live simply. I don't like wearing jeans, love my home here in the mountains and enjoy the quiet rituals of gardening and caring for creatures. My work is my meditation. I have a SO who is a Civil War reenactor and book dealer and is my partner in the business. I'm blessed by knowing many wonderfully talented, intelligent and caring people.
