I'm a mother of three boys, one with Down syndrome, who used to write for newspapers, and who still feels a strong need to write things down. Hence my blog. Though I've been a stay-at-home mom for quite some time now, I've always felt that reading the paper thoroughly and daily, and keeping current (culturally, socially, etc.) through other sources as well helps me stay connected, and gives me at least a little bit of semi-interesting fodder for conversation and for my blog.
