I was born in 1921 in Bremen, Germany and raised and educated in that city until I was sixteen. I had three older sisters. I was a teenager when WWII broke out and became a Prisoner of War while working in Strasbourg. I came to the States in 1952, met my husband, Leo Schmidt, married, and had four children. I did various things besides raising those children. I started writing in 1985 and publishing books in 2006. My website is www.mschmidtbooks.com.
