Miss Elle started Broke & Beautiful in 2007, because she was a fashion addict/art student who was just ill from reading the major fashion mags and thinking “It’ll be years until I can even think about buying stuff like this…”
On top of being a magazine/fashion addict, she was also addicted many of the amazing fashion blogs that have given her inspiration over the past months. But, at the same time, she’d see things featured on these blogs with beautiful descriptions, and gigantic price tags! It wasn’t until a few months of watching these glamorous products go by that she suddenly saw her niche… “Designer labels are great, but do we really need them if the quality is almost as good on a commercial brand? And there MUST be a way to get designer-quality products cheaper! There MUST!” Thus sprouted Broke & Beautiful.
