Paul Mackie works at the World Resources Institute in Washington DC. He lives in nearby Silver Spring, Maryland with his wife Rachel and 1-year-old son Jackson. He was a journalist for nearly 10 years, mostly in the St. Louis and Washington DC areas. Paul obtained his master's degree in media studies and political science from Georgetown University and his bachelor's in English literature and journalism from Southern Illinois University. The musical comedy he wrote with a fellow playwright, Wiener Sausage: The Musical!, was selected for the 2008 Capital Fringe Fest. Paul is currently working on an album of children's music. He has played in several bands through the years, including The Sprogs, Funny Boy, Monotremes, Fine Wine, Birmingham Squadron, In It For the Chicks, and Dirt Loaded.
