I heard at a seminar that I attended that the first thing a person uses to describe themselves tells you what matters to them the most in their life. So in that vein, I'd describe myself as a proud father - proud of both who my children are and proud of getting to be their dad.

Although my post-graduate studies and work experiences are based in the medical sciences field, my curiosity and drive to learn and share encompasses a diverse range of subjects - from economics to ancient history, from politics to literary arts and drama. This in many ways defines what topics I am driven to write about and discuss here on my blog, if not exemplifying my love of learning and discovering new things about our world and ourselves. Indeed, my love for the creative process and its ability to offer varied means of expression is a key motivator for why I decided to start blogging and why I enjoy the work I do as a writer/director/actor on the internet-based dramatic series I also co-produce called “Star Trek: Unity“.

My hope in writing this blog is to share ideas and concepts I have about the subjects at hand, as well as to add another voice to issues where it seems that there’s a presentation in mainstream circles of a homogeneity of viewpoints. I also view this blog as a creative outlet for my love of writing and reading.

To that end, I hope you enjoy reading my blog as much as I enjoy writing it.
