I'm working to collect my thoughts about food, family, friends in an age when creating fresh, simple dishes day in, day out seems daunting to too many people. In my day job, I supervise a large, energetic staff in a high-pressure environment. I find cooking relaxing. When I can't stand the heat, I head to the kitchen.
