In Greek Mythology, Eris, the Greek Goddess of Discord, used a golden apple to spread strife among the Gods. This disagreement among the Gods was soon transferred to the mortals and eventually lead to the Trojan War.

Recently I started to feel like many media outlets in our society are turning into golden apples. The big men in charge use newspapers, television, internet, and many other ways to spread information that helps to build discord, distrust, and fear in our society.

This blog, titled Golden Arple, is my little attempt to do the opposite. I want to help us move beyond the anger and hate that is much to commonplace in our society, and instead of contributing to the negative atmosphere I want to help bring everyone together.
