Let me start by introducing myself and my family. I live in a small town about an hour's drive from Kolkata, West Bengal India with my Mother. My mother is about 70 years old and the only inspiration to me.
I appreciate you investing your valuable time to learn a bit about me and how I am building my internet marketing business, enabling me to stay home and to look after my old Mother. I don't have a rags to riches story to tell you, which seems to be the norm on the internet today. I wasn't stuck eating ketchup sandwiches, and I've never been homeless. But, I have been conned, mis-led and ripped off, and I have discovered the truth about marketing on the internet. Whether you stumbled onto this site completely by accident (least likely), or by DESIGN (most likely), if you're actively looking for a way to generate some serious income from home, you are about to receive all the information you'll need to make that dream a reality.
I'm an internet publisher, marketer, entrepreneur and a full-time internet user. My work and interests have encompassed varied disciplines - from powerplant engineering, music, astrology to internet publishing & marketing. I do not believe in coincidence. I believe that our paths have crossed here for a reason - whether that reason is that I have something to teach or show to you, or you to me..... I started blogging for two reasons. One, I love to write. I saw a blog as a way to not only practice my writing in an open forum, but also to be able to get instant feedback on the things I say. Secondly, there is a certain thrill for a writer to see that he has touched someone else with his words, whether it is through humor or introspection. Knowing that something I said meant something to another person energizes me and my writing.
I started to blog as an experiment to see how it would impact my life as a writer. I originally had my blog hand coded on the links page of my old web site and then moved it to my current domain when I wanted to install comments (at the request of readers). Blogging has helped make my writing stronger, given me an idea of my strengths and weaknesses as a writer and also introduced me to some wonderful people. Second, I wanted the discipline of writing (almost) every day, and that was going to be easier for me to accomplish if I had some notion that other people were reading what I wrote. I've tried keeping normal journals in the past, and I always give them up after a month. I play best to an audience. Third, I was about to move from Calcutta to Nabadwip, and my family is very scattered, so I wanted there to be a central locus of information about my business/friends so that I didn't have to spend all my time answering e-mails.
Blogs aren’t just about expounding your ideas to others; they’re about getting to know yourself better. I still consider myself to be a blog writing novice but as I've got a few entries under my belt I can tell you about an unexpected bonus of this journaling process. A lot of people think that blog writers are just people who are tooting their own horns blabbering on self-righteously about what they believe to be true in life. On the contrary, for me writing a blog has helped me to reflect on my experiences that I may have otherwise have forgotten if I hadn't written them down. It has become a process of self-actualization, whether others have read my thoughts has become less of a priority for me. When I read over my past entries I am surprised to hear about thoughts, ideas, and wisdom that is quite relevant to my present experiences. It's like I already knew some of the solutions to my problems in the present, but I still had to go through the experiences to actually have this knowledge become truly learnt.
I also find it rewarding in both the respects that I get to ‘relive' certain moments in my life, and I get to analyze my previous thoughts. This analysis often leads me to new ideas that I couldn't see clearly when I was in the original moment.‘Reliving' past experiences by reading old journal entries can be a powerful experience indeed. You can be transported to the moment in time you were writing about, as well as the moment and feelings you had when writing the blog entry. Experiencing these events and feelings again can be a really enlightening process, especially if the emotions you had were strong ones. An example of this from my blog http://bg.blogackers.com is a recent upheaval of emotions I wrote about when a young lady I'd been dating and really started to like a lot told me she didn't want to kiss me anymore.
Now when I read this entry I can feel those same painful feelings, but in a new light as the time has passed and I've moved on. It gives me hope in understanding that all feelings pass, and also in the knowledge that all things happen for a reason. This knowledge I couldn't see at the time as I was totally enveloped by my agony. These insights into past feelings and thoughts have been an eye opener for my self-introspection process. I think the blog can give you the chance to get to know yourself better, something all humans could find beneficial. All of us are on quests to find out who we are and why we are here on Earth.
The blogging process might just be another avenue for people to find out who they truly are. I'd like to meet people who educate, inspire or entertain me...... I have a few close friends I've known all my life. I'd like to make more. I'm glad you're here, and I look forward to speaking with you directly.
