I've been a reporter for 11 years and I was recently hired to edit and report for The Valley Independent Sentinel, an online news site in Connecticut.
We're funded by a two-year grant from the Knight Foundation.
There are two reporters (myself included) and a team of local freelance writers (many of whom have extensive daily experience).
The site launched June 22, 2009.
