People who monetize their blog or make money with their blog, seem to catch an undue amount of flack when trying to promote their blogs - even when placed into the proper categories of self promotion or making money. And it's NOT, I repeat NOT just here, it's on every single social network I belong to.
I wish the general opinion of making money with a blog wasn't so negative, I truly do. But at the same time I fully understand why this is the case. Some of the ways in which money can be made with a blog ARE questionable. Some are even downright fraudulent and perhaps even illegal. As the saying goes - one bad apple...
But before bashing the entire concept of making money - I wish with all my heart that people would take the time to visit my blog - read what I say - and understand that I'm truly working my butt off to make a difference in this market. Raising the standard on content - and raising the standard on the way blog advertising and monetization is being done. Instead of just taking a solid stance againt making money with a blog in general.

I'm an Author for the Encyclopedia of Arkansas, History and Culture and am currently retained on contract to research the 1946 unsolved "Moonlight Murders" that took place in Texarkana, Arkansas. True crime is my normal genre, and I've covered such notorious individuals as Ronald Gene Simmons and the West Memphis Three.
On occasion I do freelance work for area newspapers such as the Ozarks Farm and Neighbor, a 3 state regional farming publication.
I also own Rural Family Living, LLC, a small retail sales business.
