Thank you for this resource of encouragement. Pain management for us FMs is sometimes swept under the rug by our quac..err.. doctors, unless they are extraordinarily open minded. The rest tend to be consumed by the mantra of "it's all in your head, dear" whilst rushing us out the door.

Yep. My favorite one had always been "it's all in your head - quit wasting my time" - UNTIL a new doctor informed me flat out that Fibromyalgia does not exist, never has existed, cannot exist. His blanket statement: "That's why they call it a Syndrome, because it does not exist." I resisted the temptation to call him a syndrome and wish him out of existence, smiled and nodded, and haven't been back to his offices.
