  • Reduce Footprints

    Friday August 21st, 2009 at 14:41 | Rating: 5 | Report

This is a fantastic blog! It is full of simple but inspirational ways each of us can make a difference in reducing our impact on the environment. The latest Change the World Wednesday Challenge started by the author, Small Footprints, invites other bloggers to participate in small eco-friendly steps to bring about greater environmental change. Participants are encouraged to bring more people into the movement. The Challenge is open to anyone, and judging from the variety of bloggers who are connected to this blog, this great idea seems to be taking off.

  • Writing and Beyond

"Writing and Beyond" is a very well-written blog that provides glimpses of life, people, politics, religion, writing, gardening - well, a little something for everyone! The author writes, "my garden is a reflection of my visions as a life painter." Indeed, a life painter is what she is and her blog is a delightful read.

From drinks to dogbiscuits, she has something for everyone, and she keeps it healthy and simple. I'm done Googling for new rrecipes. I'll look here first!

  • The Melindaville Blog

    Sunday July 19th, 2009 at 11:41 | Rating: 5 | Report

The Melindaville Blog is one of the best blogs I've come across. For writers who appreciate the work of other writers, for those who have sruggled with addiction, for victims of abuse, for husbands and partners who live with women who have suffered, for those with compassion for the disenfranchised of our society - this blog is for you. Melinda engages and inspires. The honesty that flows from her words, and her life as she how lives it, is nothing short of beautiful.

  • OMYWORD! Did I Say That?

    Monday July 6th, 2009 at 00:01 | Rating: 5 | Report

Omyword. Did I say that? This blog covers the adventures of Lisa, an American woman living large, and unapologetically, in Paris. A wonderful story teller, Lisa is also skilled at bringing characters to life in her posts. You will meet Chairman Mao, her tormented, egocentric cat. You will also meet the towering transvestites she encounters at a taxi stand. While Lisa offers up a ton of belly laughs in her tales, you will also feel the ebb and flow of life when she describes an elderly woman walking home with groceries, or a unknown man in a wool cap who dies quietly on the street one night. This is brilliant blog from a irreverent, honest and talented writer. Omyword - she's worth reading and following.
