I am a grad student in Sociology at a northern California university. I live in an apartment with my husband and two cats who could stand to lose a little weight (the cats, not the husband). When I have "spare" time, I write fiction and am currently at work on a murder mystery novel set in Costa Rica. I try to tell myself that writing is my job and Sociology my hobby. I enjoy both of my "jobs" and thus try not to call either "work."
