Thank-you if you've added me to your contact list. However, I no longer request new contacts or return the sentiment unless I've seen a new contact had made active steps toward my blog. After all, I don't believe Blog Catalog was created to circumvent the entire system away from our blogs. I actually think it was intended to bring each other to each others blogs :)
But all I've seen is a bunch of bloggers adding contacts, and it stops there.
I do like blog catalogs listing though, and so I am listed on blog catalog but not active on blog catalog, because I prefer to put time in my blog (and time is limited these busy days),not in social networks.
