David Lourie is a multi-award winning editor of TV documentaries - “War Child” for National Geographic TV won an Emmy Award in 1999 – He is also a writer of documentaries and corporate narrations, screenplays, short stories, articles and web site content. His comic strip, “Dharma The Cat – Philosophy With Fur,” since 1997 has run in magazines in 28 countries in 18 languages. Simon & Schuster Australia published a book of these cartoons, and the public web site won the 10 Best On The Web Award in the Humor category. He lives on Sydney's northern peninsula, with his Australian wife, his dog and of course Dharma The Cat. He grew up in California and has a Master of Fine Arts in Theater Arts from UCLA. He moved to Sydney in 1971.
