My name is Shelley Furgason. I had a 14 year career as a lead graphic designer and art director. I designed advertising art for everything from motorcycles and snowmobiles for Yamaha Motor Corp. to radio station art and educational material. I was even the art director for a drag racing company for 4 years. About 3 years ago I was in a motorcycle accident and now I am a traumatic brain injury survivor. So...instead of getting paid to be creative on demand, I do it when I want to or when I feel good enough.
My Blog is about how my accident was the motivating factor in my family moving to Arizona from Southern California. The things in my life I've turned to for therapy and I look into how Traumatic Brain Injury effects so many people in so many different ways. I also break up the seriousness of my blogs topic with my love of music and the beauty I see here in Arizona.
