Great site, once you start looking at the products all around your house, it can become quite scary. The soap you use all over your body everyday, the bubble bath your kids soak in at night, the insect repellent or sunscreen your spray all over them. So many of us are so unaware of what is in the products we are buying.

Accelerating social and environmental collapse creates the imperative to act now to take back control of our lives and communities to create places where people can live and grow in balance. Great site that give heaps of information on self reliance and simple living

I love the idea of watching someone change from shopaholic to frugal. Keep going. For many of us, shopping is a huge part of our lives, we shop to fill a void inside. Our society teaches us, from when we are very young, to be consumers.

With the extrodinary amount of waste that we have in our society and the extreme level of affluenza, going to thrift shops is a wonderful thing. Many times I have been very surprised at what I have found for myself and my family. I am a true barging hunter, and there is no better bargin than what is found in a thrift shop.

You are right when you question 'going green'. I believe that saving the world is about so much more than simly 'going green' we also need to tackle the massive social, political, corporate problems as well.
