Group hug anyone?

Hand us the baby oil....

All these blogs and so little time so we're making our ALTERNATIVE COMMUNITY one place where you CAN smell the flowers. The title of the blossoming website and soon to be published book.

Well let's connect at least - our contributing writers based in the UK, U.S, Canada, Dubai, Thailand, , U.S, Canada, Australia and England who write our gardens content focusing on:

Health
People
Places
Food
Inspiration
Media

All are welcome but we must warn you it's not all flowers and roses, there's the occasional thorn that we learn from - like we do in life!

Where did it all start?

In Dubai, boyfriend n girlfriend Jim & Emma (since married, since divorced)resigned from the dizzy heights of corporate as we were getting sick of the view. We wanted to see the places we ha’d always wanted to see and took a gamble, a journey into the unknown and time out to ask what it’s all about.

At the farewell lunch the Regional President said, mid speech and post buffet...

‘We’d all love to get out of the rat race - We wish you look on your travels. Enjoy it when you smell the flowers’

At the time these words meant ZERO to Jim who had previously bitten the heads of flowers rather than smelling them but as time moved on and countries were visited the phrase stayed with the couple as they joked about smelling the flowers.

Emma was adamant that Jim smelt the flowers and they did exactly that and are now writing up their travels whilst back in the Rat Race!

What started with a seed of a static website sprouted into a blog that bloomed into an online community with a difference!

GO! Smell the flowers aims to inform, entertain and enlighten people from all over our increasingly smaller world.

Why wait until you are dead and pushing up flowers from the grave? Life is too short and we endeavour to inspire people and help them discover their reason to be and be the best they can or at least think about what they can change in their life for the better…...

We all want that - right?

Some of us need to make changes in our life and post comments on our alternative community which we've designed to ensure you have one journey and many discoveries along the way.

We took the leap and took time out, we needed to and still induldge from time to time :0)

Maybe a change in YOUR life is due? It could be a career break, drinking and eating less, starting a new hobby, spending more time with the kids, saying ‘no’ more or discovering the merits of a group hug. GO! Smell the flowers is not just a cue to head off around the world but making changes for the better to hep you people realise their dreams. What about having the courage to write that book you' have always wanted to?

We are giving it a GO! and writing up our adventures…. THAT book we’ have always wanted to get round to writing….

Are you a flowers smeller?

One way to find out- drop into the garden to receive some comments love and do bring your knowledge and share what you've learned to date - post a couple of comments for comment love & get connecting.

So Let's all have a group hug (preferably clothed..although...baby oil is optional if it helps), blog and be happy to live longer, feel stronger, reach higher and smell more flowers or just stay in bed and feel sorry for yourself.

Your choice. Or blog in bed! Best of both worlds? Either way strive to be happy...that's the general idea.
