I am an author, activist and attorney who also formerly worked as a public school teacher. My blog is devoted to improving the health of our democratic culture through the development of a more sophisticated progressive worldview and a more active response to the authoritarian and anti-democratic alliance of interests that have taken our nation's government away from its people. My goal is to make this blog both a resource for broader political awareness and a forum for exploring the fronteirs of what it means to be a democratic nation.
