Julie Moran Alterio, her husband and baby girl — “Pumpkin" — share their Northern Westchester home with three iPods and more colorful plastic toys than seems necessary to entertain one tiny human. Since becoming a first-time mom to a preemie in 2005, Julie has been juggling work and parenting and has finally accepted that there is no way anyone could possibly find all of the Cheerios scattered around her house. Julie, a senior business reporter, explores the intersection of technology, commerce and culture for The Journal News. A graduate of SUNY at Buffalo, Julie studied English literature in between days and nights at the student magazine.
