HA! Any democrat will do, for me. I haven't had a television in several months, and have found the print media to be terribly unhelpful. I'm waiting for the whole thing to shake out, although with a bunch of new endorsements for Obama this week ... it may shake out in his favor before too long.

:) Same deal for me. It's about playing outside, with a good group of friends. Will take you up on the offer if I ever find myself in the UK!

Cool... nice to meet you! I second (poorly) up to 11a ... am just starting to try 11s. Tomorrow, if I'm lucky, I'll lead my first 10c ... I've been in it about 3.5 years, really into it about 3.5 years (I hit the ground running). Will hit you up for beta if I ever make it off this continent!

I should say, aspiring policy wonk. Someone with a knowledge of and interest in government. I work political campaigns (behind the scenes) and am trying to break into lobbying or other legislative work.

I'm only familiar with US grades... obviously need to do some international trips and learn other systems! I'm no pro... that's for sure. What's your grading scale? British, I'm just a 5a/5b sport leader and 4b/4c gear leader.

I was reading your post Hawkshead and began to wonder if there is a UK to US translation dictionary anywhere. You had a shufty at the church? I don't know what this is but it sounds illegal and immoral to me. ; ) Scrummy? Rioja?
