For that same day, lalate news beat out 3 of 4 of New York City's major news stations for site traffic - NBC (wnbc.com 42,286), FOX (myfoxny.com 41,671), and ABC (7online, unranked).

Earlier in the week, lalate news with 24/7 coverage of the Southern California wildfires beat out 3 of 4 of San Diego's top news stations, NBC San Diego, CBS San Diego, and Fox San Diego on October 19 and 20.

Among national news sites, lalate news' preview site this week became the number one most trafficated blog out of 1.6 million sites on the entire wordpress.com website, owned by Google, beating out CNN's blog. lalate's preview site ended the week exchanging number one and two positions with CNN.
