Where did Madison Who's Who come from?
Madison Who's Who exists to provide support for aspiring professionals in their networking and business consulting needs. The company has grown from fledgling beginnings in 2004, to become a valued provider of a wide range of advertising and consulting services to a membership now exceeding 300,000.
Who is Madison Who's Who?
The organization is lead and directed by Matt Schwartz and Scott Minuta.
The opportunity they saw was created by a coincidence of trends:
* The economic growth of the '90's created employment leading to personal development opportunities for an army of professionals across the country, many of whom made outstanding contributions to the organizations they served.
* But moving through the first decade of this millennium, as the global economy cooled, many experienced, and in some cases, distinguished executives are finding it more difficult to secure roles where their talents can thrive.
* At the same time, a massive paradigm shift was taking place in the on-line world. The Internet as a medium was blossoming beyond just serving people with information, to creating meaningful connections person to person, enabling people to easily share common interests, and build valuable relationships. The power of Social Network Media was dawning.
In this context, Scott Minuta realized the potential offered by online social networking to the experienced business professional or executive looking to add skills and talent to their team - formally or otherwise. He met with Matt Schwartz to explore these ideas, and found a ready partner for a new venture.
Building the Team
Already a successful businessman in the textile industry, Matt Schwartz knew how to build the administrative and financial core of the new Madison Who's Who. He invested funds from previous successful business ventures.
Growth was explosive, as the high value of the services offered by the company became obvious to professionals across many industries, and membership swelled. As they learned to take advantage of the services offered, members and Madison both benefited.

Supporting Matt and Scott is a staff of over 100 employees. With 85% of these focused on looking after their members, Madison knows what customer serice means.
Housing the Team
With this level of staff - editorial, sales, networking, media, and support - and the success of the company, Madison have been able to invest in the stately Madison Who's Who Corporate Headquarters in New York City.
Matt Schwartz has brought the value of social networking media to the business world, by modifying the traditional “Who’s Who” infrastructure to harness the potential of the online world. Yet later this year, Madison Who's Who will present the 5th Edition of the elegant Leather Bound Registry, and so blending traditional quality and accomplishment, with contemporary styles of networking.
