I am as this website might suggest, a mom who loves to run marathons. I am a mother of 4 children ages 11, 9, 7, and 3 who resides with my husband and children in beautiful, sunny Florida. My passion for running did not come early, in fact I did not start running until after the birth of my fourth child. It was during that time that I found myself on the sidelines (with a 10 week old baby) of my husband’s debut marathon that I got caught up in the “magic of it all” and decided that I too could run a marathon. Shortly after that race, it began. I registered for my first marathon before I ever laced up my running shoes. When I first started running I could not make it one mile to the front of my neighborhood without doubling over. I have come a long way since then and have many happy miles and successful races logged in. I finished that first marathon and I found what I was searching for. I felt what I saw on the faces of the runners when I was a spectator, raw emotion, happiness, pride, relief, and pain all mixed together. I was hooked. I have continued to train for and run marathons and enjoy every minute of it (well almost every minute of it).
