Useful blogging tips, but where this blog stands out is it's focus on the solid Wordpress.com blogging platform, one I switched to this year.

Great topic and posts. Some of the images are a little distorted by the new template though. Perhaps you need to repost them? Meanwhile, I've found I can see them with their normal proportions if I click on them. (I'm talking about my experience with the CarHops post.)

Pretty darn silly, and worth a look. I keep waiting for Narcissus-X to have some sort of personality crisis, but so far nothing seems to shake him.

The images of northern Norway helped make my summer in sticky Washington, DC a little more bearable. I like how you can click on the photo and see them in higher resolution. I'm not so happy about the URIs in the newest photos, although I understand the need for some kind of precautions.

The posts in here are sometimes so sad that I can only take one or two at a time. But what makes this blog stand out for me are its vivid images and unassuming authenticity.

Some problems with the ads on your site. They're not intrusive, but the "payday loan" ads that come up through Google advertise incredibly high-interest loans that exploit young soldiers living from one paycheck to the next in the worst kind of way. See for example this 2001 story on PBS. Not good. On a different note, it would be nice if you included the source of your quotations and images. You provide a little information, but not enough for the user to look the source up himself if he wanted to.
