I am a 53 yr old self taught artist with two grown sons from my first marriage. My second husband and I have been happily married for 10 years. As an artist my medium of choice is color pencil and I enjoy fantasy art along with other styles. I have had art published in a book through Ellen Million Graphics and just recently won 2nd place in the Drawing Category in a Show put on in Norfolk,Va. I sell my art as greeting cards in various stores in my area and online: www.aheartofmersea.etsy.com, and as prints, I also have other crafts that I sell on my website, too. I sometimes do Pet and House sitting, and I am building an Arbonne business.
I was diagnosed with Panic Disorder in the mid 90's and then in 2004 I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia along with Myalfasia Pain Syndrome, and Chronic Fatigue. I do my best not to let these things get me down or keep me from doing what I like, just have to do it in smaller portions, so to speak.
Some of my favorite things to do is crochet all kinds of things, write poetry and hopefully one day a great American Novel, draw , of course, watch movies, am hooked on Jane Austen and Costume and Period movies, reading, walking, (I do love to run but my legs keep trying to talk me out of it),taking photos of the little things all around me that people usually take for granted, journaling, pen palling, camping, going to the beach, swimming in heated pool for exercize, and a multitude of other things.
We have two cats, two dogs, and we work with k-9 New Life which is a no-kill dog rescue. We provide a foster home for dogs who are about to be put down.
