Six years ago I decided to give up my boring nine to five office existance for the uncertain gamble of self-employment as a market trader. My life has changed completely as I rise at 5am three to five days a week depending on season to sell jewellery & batiks. It has been hard but it's the best thing I've ever done, it's a great challenge.
Market trading is a never ending quest to find the perfect product to please customers. I spend a lot of time researching new product, pleasing the customer is like looking for the holy grail.
I've learnt my strengths & weaknesses over the years and certainly my pain threshold. It's been a wonderful journey filled with fascinating characters, amusing stories, but it's also had many a nightmare moment and cashflow is very difficult at certain times of the year.
But hey, I'm still fighting and hoping to continue for as long as I'm physically fit enough.
