Peter Hofland (PhD) is a highly motivated and experienced (medical) marketing communication consultant currently working for Sunvalley Communication. With a PhD in medical science and various postdoctoral training/certificates, Dr Hofland has more than 15 years medical/pharmaceutical experience. He is also a seasoned journalist and writer.

At Sunvalley Communication Dr Hofland is responsible for international publication/education development, strategic publication planning/management and international medical (society) meetings/exhibitions. He joined the company after leaving Science & Medicine/Science & Oncology (Publicis Healthcare Communications) in New York and GCV Capital, a healthcare management and investment group. Before migrating to North America, Dr Hofland was working as SVP for The Visual Consultancy Corporation (TVCC) a European based medical/pharmaceutical communication, professional education and publishing consulting firm.

Dr. Hofland has more than 12 years experience in directing several teams of medical writers/editors. He expanded medical and technical writing and publishing services at TVCC, managed activities of writers and submissions publishers, supported North American and European clients with manuscripts for peer-reviewed media, generated abstracts, posters, and slide presentations for medical meetings, developed e-learning applications, was responsible for scientific and medical conference coverage, wrote/edited product monographs and managed CME projects.

Prior to TVCC, he served as a member of the management team of Qumulus N.V. a Netherlands Antillean company specializing in e-learning and corporate communication. He was responsible for strategic and tactical development of all healthcare projects.

Dr Hofland has a thorough understanding of both the European and American medical and business cultures and he has utilized that effectively in delivering significant value to his clients. He is fluent in English and Dutch.
